Terms of Service

Our Terms of Service outlined below should make it clear what we offer, how we operate, and what you can expect from us. When you hire us, you are accepting our Terms of Service.
General Principles

We are committed to giving detailed personal attention to your specific property needs and wants, and doing whatever it takes to exceed your expectations. Since your satisfaction with our services is at all times our most important goal, we DO NOT require you to have a written contract with us. (We DO require a written notice for any cancellations.)

All approved services will automatically renew each year. However, inquiry forms will still be emailed for confirmation purposes, and to gather all updated contact and payment information. We consider you a loyal customer from season to season unless we receive a written notice of cancellation. If you wish to update or make changes to your scheduled services or have any questions, comments or concerns; please feel free to call, text or email us anytime.

We offer 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed - We firmly believe in quality work, a job well done and happy clients. “If at any time, for any reason, you are unhappy with the service provided, simply let us know and we will come back and fix it, no questions asked. If for some reason you are still unsatisfied, we will pay a competitor of your choosing to fix it.”

We will maintain excellent communication with all of our clients via email, (start dates, Spring services, Fall services, season end etc.)
Scheduling

We schedule all Lawn Maintenance work Monday-Friday – however, due to weather conditions out of our control, our schedule may get stretched into the weekend from time to time.

Mulch Installation Services and Spring Clean-ups will begin as soon as weather allows (late March - early April) but can be requested at any time during the season.

Weekly Lawn Maintenance will begin mid-late April – and will continue through early-mid November. (Again, we keep excellent communication)

Fall Leaf Clean-ups will typically begin late October and go through early - mid December.
We are generally closed from mid-December thru mid-March.
Payments and Billing

We offer easy and convenient billing - invoices and receipts are sent via email and credit cards are only charged at the end of the month after all services have been provided and completed. That said; please lend us the courtesy of keeping up to date with your monthly payments.

Like you, we enjoy getting paid for our work. We realize we’re both busy making moves, and life can get away from us, so our business runs on a 30-day billing cycle that we think is fair for each party. Payments will be paid in full within 15 days of receiving monthly invoices (net 15), and any overdue or unpaid balances will be charged a $25 late fee.

If however you would prefer a contract for various reasons, we will gladly accommodate your request.
Preparation for Service / Owner Responsibilities

We kindly ask that you be mindful of the day we come out to service your property, and have your yard clear of all miscellaneous and personal items including trash, doggy piles, toys, lawn furniture, blow up/plastic pools, soccer goals, hoses, holiday decorations etc. before your scheduled service. We may also go around said items.

We will not be responsible for damage caused by moving these objects if needed, or by hitting hidden objects that lay in the grass out of sight (small rocks, golf balls etc.)

There will be an additional charge ($15 in addition to that week’s cut) if we step in or run our equipment through doggy piles or have to pick up or move toys, furniture etc. If 3 additional fees are incurred during the course of the season, you will be reevaluated as a client, and will run the risk of being dropped from our service schedule. Due to cross contamination onto other client’s properties, and the additional time it takes to clean and maintain our equipment, we have very little tolerance for this minor request

Please make sure irrigation systems are shut off prior to our arrival and all irrigation heads are working properly and not sticking up. Although we are insured, we cannot be held liable for damage caused by hitting items not functioning correctly. We also ask that you do not run sprinklers the night before or on the day of your scheduled service.

If you have gates that require unlocking for us to provide services, please remember to give us a key or code to gain access
Weekly Lawn Maintenance Clients

You can expect us to arrive every week for your lawn service. (cut, trim, edge, blow) We will do our best to keep our service schedule to your property consistent, and come on the same day every week.

Since weather can be unpredictable, there may be times when we need to come early or delay mowing. Nevertheless, we will usually be able to return to our normal schedule the following week, always keeping in mind that consistent and timely lawn maintenance will result in the best appearing lawns. –Your lawn will have a top notch, manicured and professional look week after week.

For weeks that require more than 2 cuts (extra time and labor), we will charge 25% of the normal rate in addition to that week's cut. This occurs most commonly during times of rapid growth such as during the early Spring.

Please keep trees and bushes pruned so that we can access the lawn safely. If you would like us to do shrub trimming, there will be an extra charge.

Please contact us as soon as possible if there are circumstances that could interfere with our services. (e.g. moving trucks, fallen trees, etc.) We have a minimum or a $20 trip charge for showing up – even if we can’t work.

You may skip your lawn mowing service up to 4 times during the season without losing your service with our company. Simply text us at 585-672-3869 at least 24 hours in advance with your request for a workaround or to skip a service, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. If any additional (more than 4) weeks are skipped over the course of the season, you will be given the option to either pay the normal rate for the additional week skipped, or our service with you will be discontinued.
Extra Charges and Fees

Fuel Surcharge
Given that we are greatly affected by the cost of fuel, fuel surcharges may apply as fuel rates fluctuate. If fuel rises above $4.50/gallon, we will be adding a $2.00 surcharge to our service rates. This will be an additional charge shown as a separate line item on your invoice. To simplify billing, this may be assessed on a weekly or monthly basis – depending on frequency required. For every additional $1.00 increase in fuel, we will add an additional $1.00 surcharge.

Dog Waste/Toy/Furniture Fee- $15.00 (We will never charge this fee if we show up on a day that is not your regular scheduled service day)

When your lawn requires more than 2 cuts or extra trimming due to excessive growth, we will charge an additional 25% the normal rate because of the extra work that is required.

For clients who choose to make payments via card on file, a $10 fee will be added for all declined credit card transactions. We are not responsible for keeping track of card expiration dates, but will do our best to remind you. Services will be paused until the account is current with a valid credit card on file.

Show up/Trip Charge - We have a minimum or a $20 trip charge for showing up – even if we can’t work. Please notify us as soon as possible of any home construction projects, moving trucks, street construction etc.

Overdue/Unpaid Balances - $25 late fee
Services That Require Digging

For projects that require digging (mulch installations, edging, etc.), it is important that we know the location of utilities, cables, invisible fences, irrigation systems, etc. so that we do not inadvertently damage these. Marking their location clearly for us to see would be most helpful (flags/paint etc). We do not accept liability for damage that might occur to underground structures.
We are not liable for damage to items underground.

We monitor all electronic notifications 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday, as well as frequently over the weekend. Although we are always happy to hear from you by phone, we prefer to use email because your messages will get to us immediately, even if we are out of the office or busy on a job site. All voicemail messages are checked frequently and we will always do our best to get back to you by the end of the day.
